1. Introduction to Pelayo boat model

The PELAYO was the most powerful ship built in the Spanish shipyards during the time leading up to the Spanish American War. During the war, it was the fleet of Rear Admiral Camaras Reserve Squadron, and did not engage in any military action during the war. The ship was named after Pelayo (or Pelagei) (? - 737). ), leader of the Rebellion against the Moors, leading to the Reconquista.
