Pelure Paper is a moisture-proof paper made from wood or recycled pulp, primarily consisting of cellulose fibers. The manufacturing process involves separating starch, resin, and plant components from cellulose. When mixed with water, the cellulose transforms into fibers. These fibers are then placed on a sieve, excess water drains off, and shaking the sieve entwines the fibers into a sturdy sheet.
Widely used in various industries such as footwear, clothing, pharmaceuticals, and handicrafts. In footwear, it prevents toe flattening and protects shoe surfaces. In garments, it shields against environmental moisture. Crucial in transportation, especially maritime, to protect goods from river and sea moisture during lengthy journeys.
