Port operation business: Saigon New Port operates 18 port facilities equipped with modern and specialized warehouses, ensuring the accommodation of container vessels up to 16,000 tons. The corporation currently holds operating contracts and maintains relationships with over 100 shipping lines and agents worldwide.
The cluster of 3 deep-water ports in Ba Ria - Vung Tau handles international transshipment, including Tan Cang - Cai Mep Container Terminal (TCCT - Vietnam's first deep-water seaport), Tan Cang - Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT), and Tan Cang - Cai Mep Thi Vai Port (TCTT). These ports cover an area of 110 hectares with 1,500 meters of berths, capable of accommodating vessels up to 160,000 DWT (equivalent to 14,000 TEU).
Currently, the Tan Cang - Cai Mep Terminal Group offers direct services from Vietnam to the East Coast and West Coast of the United States, Europe, and intra-Asia services to Japan, operated by major shipping alliances such as The Alliance, The Ocean Alliance, and 2M deployment. In recent years, particularly in 2018, the deep-water ports in the Cai Mep area (TCTT, TCIT, and TCCT) handled over 2.1 million TEUs of containers, accounting for 70.8% of the total container volume in the Cai Mep area.
